Pictures of our home!


This is a picture of our new "etagere" or shelf for you simpletons. We're leaving it in the study. We also have a mirror thing we just bough from target today we're hanging in the large open space- We don't normally have everypiece of red glass and aluminum on it, but we've been cleaning out cupboards because of popcorn ceiling removal- Also, that black chest infront will hold much of the glassware, but we haven't put it in place yet (waiting on tile for kitchen)

Another angle of the laundry room- We have a 2 tone grey with a red stripe and in the process of loading the walls with retro items- Most of the signs and other items we find at jockey lot (fleamarket) or in random discount stores. We are obviously in need of more obnoxious things to hang in here. (Sarah is partial to the corn bowl)

Pretty kitchen! We've put up new halogen track lighting and pendant lights after Scott finished removing the popcorn ceilings- You can also see our new fridge- New tile floor coming February 1st! You can also see the top of the fabulous new range- We got a ceramic top for easy cleaning. Scott didn't take a picture of it. He's not quite as partial to it as I am...

Our living room! We have new recessed lighting and a new ceiling hugging ceiling fan- oh and no more popcorn ceilings! The room feels much bigger- Carpet coming soon, along with new furniture. We're still living on goodwill finds and outdoor furniture.

This is our new slate foyer- (minus baseboards and new front door, work in progress) It looks great with our colors and each piece is different from another. It makes a really bold statement when you walk in the house. Not that the green and brown walls don't do this...


More pics coming soon. The hallway is completed, I have to fix a few pictures that broke (boo on cheap frames, yay for hot glue gun), and we will also take pictures of the other rooms we've been working on- Guest/Grandma's Room, Main Bathroom;

Scott is working on his room, he hasn't quite figured out what direction he wants to go in. Our bedroom is still white. and bland. and boring. We have no direction nor desire. We had a large comforter that was brown and teal but it was way too warm for down here. Average temp in January is 51 degrees. So i'm in the process of finding a quilt that i think is appropriate to base the room on. Nothing very floral (we're not very floral people. but i do love me some toile) The whole house is a work in progress.
